ONE In a well-ventilated space, pour the nail polish base slowly into the nail polish bottles. Fill until just below the shoulder to allow for mixing room. If you spill, use an old rag to wipe the neck of the bottle before it dries. If you forget to do this your lid may “glue” itself to the bottle. If this happens, just use an old spoon and nestle the spoon in the crack between the lid and the neck, push up and back to loosen.
Note: The funnels do not work to fill the polish bottles; it’s too thick.

Tip: Make sure that the nail polish base is at room temperature as cold base will be thicker and more difficult to pour. We recommend wrapping the base in a warm towel to warm it up if it seems too thick for pouring.

Pouring the nail polish base is easy with this video example made by the Handmade Beauty Box team.

Pouring Tip: The first nail polish bottle will be the most difficult to fill. Trust us when we say pour slowly. You may even let the base drizzle onto the lip/shoulder of the Nail Polish Base bottle to get a smaller pouring stream. Check out our Vine video to see how it’s done.

TWO Drop 1 or 2 mixing balls into each nail polish bottle. Some prefer 2 mixing balls. Some prefer 1 mixing ball. Either option will mix the base well.

THREE Using a mini scoop and mini funnel, add 10 scoops of colorant to the nail polish bottle. Use the back end of the mini scoop to push the colorant through the mini funnel. Hint: You do not have to use the mini funnel, but it can help avoid glitter spills.

The nail polish box comes with five vibrant and beautiful colorants to customize your nail polish colors!

FOUR Insert the brushes into the bottles then twist the black cap onto the nail polish bottle until you hear a “click.” Once the cap is securely on the bottle, start shaking. Shake the bottle for 3-5 minutes to fully disperse the colorant into the nail polish base. You didn’t know this would be a workout did you!

FIVE When the colorant has been fully dispersed, you’re finished. Test the colorant on a piece of white paper or your finger nail and color correct if desired.

Handmade Beauty Box's nail polish colors are long lasting and perfect for any occasion.

Colorant Usage Rates: Add about 10 scoops of colorant to each bottle of nail polish base using less for a lighter hue and more for a darker hue. What you see is what you get. Use each color on its own OR combine the colors for a one of a kind blend. Get creative. We want to see what you come up with! Print extra labels here.

To Use: Add 2-3 coats of nail polish to your fingernails and let dry.
